While the remake of the original Ratchet and Clank sticks fairly closely to the original title, with some upgrades in the story and gameplay where it is needed, one aspect of the original game that didn't survive the transition to the PS4 was the acquisition of the RYNO. In the original game, this weapon cost a staggering amount of Bolts, but in the remake, it is a little easier to get on the first playthrough.

Here, players need to find nine RYNO cards, each one depicting a different RYNO or rocket launcher variant from previous titles, such as the Harbinger from Ratchet: Deadlocked. These cards are fairly well hidden among the worlds of the game, with some being very easy to miss without knowing where they are, while others require a specific gadget to reach in the first place.
Where To Obtain The RYNO
In order to obtain the RYNO, players need to talk to the alien who gives Ratchet the Trespasser on Rilgar. In the original game, this NPC simply forced Ratchet to pay his way into Captain Qwark's trailer, but here, he serves a very different purpose. Once the player has obtained all of the RYNO cards, return to the NPC to receive the reward, the all-powerful RYNO that makes the final battle against Dr. Nefarious take less than a minute to complete.
Rilgar - First Card
The first card players can obtain is on Rilgar, right behind a Trespasser locked wall behind where the NPC who gives it to you is found. This is by far the easiest RYNO card to obtain and sets a bad president for the rest of the game, as no other card is found as easily as this one. This door also allows players to get accustomed to how the Trespasser actually works, as many players who didn't play the original Ratchet and Clank may have a tough time with it, to begin with.
Rilgar - Second Card
The second card that players can obtain is also found on Rilgar, though this one requires some effort on the players' part. Instead of simply being hidden away in a dark corner of the level, players will need to completethe hoverboard Gold Cup course and obtain first place, with the RYNO card being the prize this time around rather than the Platinum Zoomerator.

If players are finding the hoverboard course too challenging, it can be made easier by lowering the game difficulty, which will slow down the opposing racers and make them easier to overtake if Ratchet is falling behind.
Kerwan
In the downtown area of Metropolis, offdown the right path of the Gadgetron Vendor, players may have noticed a forcefield barrier blocking the way to a side area of Kerwan that they couldn't enter the first time they visited. After returning with the Trespasser, this wall can be powered down and the area explored, where Ratchet will find a shiny RYNO card waiting for him to pick up as well as a few more Bolts.
Nebula N34
On the Blarg Space Station in Nebula N34, the player can come across a door that is locked by a Trespasser puzzle en route to fight the Snagglebeast. Unlocking this door will provide Ratchet with a large number of Bolts as well as another RYNO card to add to his collection.
Gaspar
After obtaining the Jetpack, Gaspar opens up significantly and allows Ratchet to explore a wide-open space in order to kill a large number of Telepathapus with the assistance of his new aerial maneuverability. In the Telepathapus Fields,there is an island with a lone structure hanging off the rear end that serves as a recharge point for the Jetpack. Hiding behind the structure is a RYNO card sitting precariously on a ledge that can be reached by flying behind the building.
Batalia
For anyone who played the original Ratchet and Clank, the location of this RYNO card should be familiar, as itwas the location of a Gold Bolt in the original game. After landing on Batalia, head into the main open area with a building on each side of the battlefield and go towards the lefthand building, which is locked by a Trespasser puzzle.

By using the jump panels on either side of the door, players can also obtain a Gold Bolt from this level in the same location it was in the original game, though the real draw for this building is the RYNO card behind the locked door and the many crates inside the same room.
Quartu
Unlike most other RYNO cards, the card that can be found on Quartu doesn't require the Trespasser, but it is still behind a locked door. Once players reach the Gadgetron Vendor on the ground floor of the room where they can use the Jetpack, follow the main path to the turret, then fire it at the door behind the turret with the glowing green outline to "unlock" it. Inside, players will find another card pack containing a RYNO card.
Kalebo III
While onKalebo III, Ratchet is able to participate in another, more difficult hoverboard challenge for some extra Bolts and other prizes. The grand prize won for coming in first place in the Gold Cup course is another RYNO card, which can, again, be made easier to obtain by lowering the game difficulty in order to make the race a little easier.
Deplanetizer
The final RYNO card that players are able to obtain is found on the Deplanetizer, but only on the second visit to this location. Teasing the player with the promise of an all-powerful weapon for the final boss fight, this card is found in the room right before the battle against Dr. Nefarious, to the right of the Gadgetron Vendor. By using the conveniently placed crates, Ratchet can jump up onto an elevated platform that is hiding the final card pack and the last RYNO card, forcing the player to backtrack through the entire level if they want to use the RYNO for the final battle.
